How to design a warm bedroom
Your bedroom should be an oasis, a personal hideaway from the hectic pace of the modern world. It should really reflect your sense of style and taste. Here are some tips to bear in mind when decorating your bedroom.
Keep the Bedroom Simple and Uncluttered
A bedroom should look and feel comfortable, comfy and tidy regardless of what your style is. That means keeping your furniture to the fundamentals of only what you need. And if you’ve got a smaller room, don’t try and put a king-sized be in there. You’ll be squeezing around things and that’ll get old quickly. So keep the scale of your space in mind as you get your bedroom furnishings. Try and keep it to a straightforward plan like your bed, a reading chair, two nice tables, your dressers, a pair floor lamps and that is’s about it. Try really losing the television. I know..it’s impossible for a small number of you but listen, when I first attempted that with the cell telephone and laptop I actually was ready to get a little sleep. You really should give it a try.
Use relaxing colors if possible.
Instead of wild and bold first colours, select more soothing shades and neutral tones unless you really have your heart set on making a statement. Hey it’s your bedroom and if you can snooze with purple walls then who am I to argue with you..? If you would like to stay in the same color range but would like to try and tone it down a little, then why not try something like a soft shade of lavender. You get the idea.
Get luxurious bedding
If you can afford it at all, do yourself a huge favor and invest in 300 or higher thread count 100% sateen bed linen and a well made comforter You’ll nap like you are in a fancy hotel in London, Berlin or Paris I am telling you. You won’t regret it. Watch out for sales online and make the leap. You’ll love your new bedding no doubt.
Add different textures
You could also try adding some other engaging features throughout your bedroom like silky or textured wall coverings. How about a beautiful area rug..? Maybe a linen table cloth..?
Have heaps of Storage
You could try one of those actually cool distressed wooden trunks to hide all of your extra blankets, pillows and bedding and other stuff out of site. Remember to have a good organization system in place in the closet so your garments and shoes are neat also.
Drapes and window treatments
An organized approach to your windows will help you not only make a calming, quiet and dark place to get to sleep but will also even help add another dimension of beauty too. Do not just stick anything up there, but have fun with color and texture here also, just as in the rest of your room. Bear in mind that thicker draperies will help block out not only daylight but noise also. By www.best-in-bedding.com
