Hike your way into a Healthier You

One is not going to live for eternity. Does this mean we should just allow our body and mind let go? We must take greater care of oneself, whether you’re younger or older. A way to better our health is to attempt hiking.

Hiking has plenty amazing aspects to it, the physical, emotional & psychological. It should aid and destroy ones health if you’re not too observant. It may even warrant the old adage, which came 1st the chicken or the egg? Are you healthy and therefore hike or do you hike and then become healthy?

Hikes come in several forms. For this sole discussion, there are 3 types; , outdoors people and the novice. All have there good points and bad. They have 1 thing in common, your health.

For risk-takers, they are the ones who attack the ultimate bad mama hikes. The ones that are requisite to have toughness both of the mind and body and sometimes even portable air tanks. Mt. Everest perhaps is your perfect example. Have you ever seen an out of shape person climb Mt. Everest? Granted I’ve never been there in the flesh, but from the show on Discovery Channel, I’ve never seen one. Climbers not only enjoy healthy foods, they at every moment work out through means of aclimating their bodies to the environment. They have also prepped themselves mentally by selecting to do this highly demanding hike. They don’t just wake up one day and say “I think I should hike Mt. Everest today”. They must breath healthy ways of life. Ultimately even these adrenaline junkies make healthy lives for themselves just by wanting to take those chances.

The nature-lovers tend to surround themselves into their hikes, in other words, become one with the scenery. They try hikes that do have some inkling of a challenge. There muscles and minds are both strengthened and sharpened. They will often carry their own gear. They will look for Moosejaw online savings, then stay out for days at a time. In addition, there will be some planning on their part to prepare them for their next trail.

The final group of amateurs. These hikers could be anything from an family friendly hike to beginners. People from this classification may or may not be in shape, but the trail will put your thoughts about yourself on hold. One might want to re-think their lifestyle. Consider, what you would bring on a hike. Obviously not milk shakes, but rather some healthy snacks that provides you with energy. Odds are you won’t be downing shots either, it might be water or some energy drink. Regardless, hiking induces healthy habits and thus your well-being on a whole. It also gives you a chance to get away with possible scenes that are spectacular, other than maybe on your computer screen saver.

Which ever classification you are placed into, your heart will race, your limbs will hammer away, your brain will be fed, thus creating a healthier you. So go exploring and give hiking consideration. Do not forget, be aware of your limits or the hike will choose them for you.
